I was eventually a member of the circus! In the winter and the weather was cold.... I worked my way up! The first task was to learn stilt walking, and I soon was walking around the farm. I was an average clown, and I honed my clowning skills when ever I could. I was not allowed to do fire eating because the circus had an excellent fire eater themselves, William Lazard!
I instead was charged with the upkeep of the "wild" animals.... Lion, black Panther, four Bears and two Chimps....

I lost the photos and the cine film three years later....
I was in tour with the Anglo-American circus and left the photos with my father. They disappeared while I was on tour, because he was giving up his café, which was going to be demolished - clearing the way for a car park!
